The World's Most Humane Prison is in Norway (17 pics)

It took 10 years and $252 million to built the world's most humane prison Halden Fengsel with a capacity of 252 inmate. It is spread over 75 acres (30 hectares) of gently sloping forest in southeastern Norway. Harald V, King of Norway, joined the opening celebration on April 8. Each cell has a LCD TV and a shower. The prison has its own recording studio, medical center and hundreds of paintings on the wall, that cost more than $1 million. People say that life in prison is tough. But not in this one. Take a look. viaThe World's Most Humane Prison is in Norway (17 pics).
